Coming to yoga with a martial arts background, Eric brings his knowledge of movement and flexibility to each class. Eric’s class is strong, dynamic and inspired by the Ashtanga tradition that links breath with movement. His class focuses on alignment while building strength, flexibility and internal heat to purify mind and body. Postures include standing, balancing, seated folds, twists, as well as exploration of arm balances, backbends and inversions. Modifications, variations and hands-on adjustments are offered throughout.
Eric believes that by maintaining a mindful approach to their practice students can transform themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. As we face and overcome obstacles on our mat we build the strength and focus to overcome any obstacles we face off the mat.
Eric continues to further his practice at Downward Dog Yoga Centre with his teachers Ron Reid and Marla Meenakshi Joy.
