Handstand Workshop

Date: Saturday Oct 15
Time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Investment: $75/ class , $15 off for Tempo Yoga Students

Pre-requisites: None.

Who is this course for: This course is for beginner to intermediate level hand balancers.

What is covered: We will cover everything from the very basics up to working on press to handstand and the very beginning of working towards your 1 arm handstand. If you’re working on getting more comfortable away from the wall, you will learn how to safely work on exercises that will get you closer to your goal. If you’ve never been inverted you will learn the baby steps on becoming comfortable being upside down. If you can get into a handstand but don’t know how to control it without walking you will learn exercises to place your body in a better position to take control.

Why should I sign up: Learning how to do things with proper technique will save your body in the long run. Inversions are good for your health, but you want to be able to place your body in the proper alignment to avoid injury. This 4 week course will change how you train.

Date: Saturday Oct 15
Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Investment: $75/ class , $15 off for Tempo Yoga Students

Pre-requisites: None.

Pre-requisites: A desire to increase range of motion.

Who is this course for: This course is for all levels of flexibility. You don’t need to know anything coming in, but if you do have prior knowledge it will bring you to the next level.

What will be covered: Each workshop will consist of a warm up, work on improving splits (hamstrings, hip flexors, adductors), pancake/forward fold, shoulders, backs, and bridges. You will learn some basic partner stretches as well as a universal cool down that is beneficial after any workout.
