Yoga helps kids connect with, understand and celebrate themselves through active movement and breath. Kids yoga help develop kids’ mental, physical and emotional wellness. It teaches kids how to take the time to slow down, breathe and feel joyful.

In each 45 mins class, a popular children story will simplified and narrated.  Popular stories are including but are not limited to Harry Potter Series, Disney Animations such as Brave and Frozen and Roald Dahl Stories.  Yoga postures will be incorporated into the story telling with yoga poses taking non-traditional names such as flying pose, lizard pose, book pose, etc.

Various arts and crafts activities are included at the beginning and at the end of each session depending on the story’s theme. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to think and write a short story (5 minute story) of their own incorporating their favorite postures and crafts. If they are comfortable, they will share the story and
lead the last session for a few minutes each. This activity is designed to tap into student’s creativity and boost their self confidence in taking leadership roles.
