The body isn’t designed to be understood. It’s designed to be experienced.

Yoga Detour will be touching down at Tempo to lead the renowned Detour Method Immersion, spread out over four different weekends between January and April. This training is known for bringing contemporary perspectives in movement research to the world of yoga asana, introducing instructors and students alike to a practice environment that is explorative and non-dogmatic. This opportunity will forever change the way you practice and teach, exposing the bridge between the yoga you already know and the broader world of movement.

“I had just begun changing things up in my yoga classes and integrating natural movement patterns and functional movement exercises. Yoga Detour has now opened the floodgates and empowered me to move forward with this transition. Thanks again Cecily – I can’t wait for the next opportunity to learn from you!”

Yoga Detour is known for seamlessly blending physiology and exercise science with traditional postures. As the creator of this movement education method, Cecily specializes in bridging the gap between yoga asana and the functional requirements of moving well through everyday life.

During this deep dive into the Detour method, you will explore the four main pillars of this approach to practice:
